Ms Chryssa Markopoulou, Doctoral Candidate, Financial Risk Management
Chryssa Markopoulou is a member of the Financial Engineering Research Center (FRC)
of the Management Science Laboratory in the Athens University of Economics and
Business (AUEB). She was born in Athens in 1984. She holds a BSc in Banking and
Financial Management from the University of Piraeus and a Master in Business
Administration (MBA International Program at AUEB) with specialization in Financial
Engineering (graduated with high honors). She joined the Financial Engineering
Research Center of AUEB in 2007, where she has been part of three projects,
working as a research assistant.Since 2009, she is a Doctoral Candidate in
AUEB in the Department of Management Science and Technology under the
supervision of Professor A.P. Refenes. Ms. Markopoulou has been actively
involved in all academic and consulting activities of the FRC. In the past, she
has worked in the Cash Management Department of Citigroup PLC. Her research
interests lie on the fields of financial econometrics and financial engineering
with the focus being on risk management and option pricing.
