Mr Ioannis N. Katsikis, Doctoral Researcher, Innovation Dynamics
Ioannis N.
Katsikis is an Innovation Engineer (BEng in Innovation Management & Technology
Policy). He holds an MSc in Environmental Policy & Management and an Master in
Business Administration (MBA) in Business Process Management, both from the
University of the Aegean, Greece. Additionally, he is the holder of an MPhil in Architecture
and Space Planning from the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens. Currently,
he is a Doctoral Candidate studying Innovation Dynamics and Regional
Development, at the Dept. of Management Science and Technology in AUEB, with
supervisors the Associate Professor Klas Eric Soderquist and Professor Gregory Prastacos. He is
currently a Researcher and the Chief Knowledge Officer of the Management Science Laboratory.
He also serves as an Academic Tutor at the National and Kapodistrian
University of Athens.
He has worked for the National Bank of Greece, the European Commission and from
2005 as a freelance Business Consultant. He has gained valuable experience by
participating in major international R&D projects and offered consulting
services to national governments (Greece, Romania, Georgia, Turkey) and
international organizations (BSEC, EU) while he has been a Research Advisor of
the European Commission (DG Enterprise and Industry). He has published over 120
research papers in academic journals, edited books, and international
conferences (such as AOM, SMS, EGOS, EURAM, BAM, ERSA Conference). He has
received three international awards in recognition of his research. His
scientific interests include Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Innovation,
Science and Technology Policies, Knowledge & Technology Management and
Sustainable Regional Development. |
