Dr. Konstantinos Kostopoulos holds a Phd in Strategic Innovation Management (specialization: learning and innovation management) from the Department of Management Science and Technology of the Athens University of Economics & Business (2007). He possesses a Master's in Business Administration (2001) and a BSc in Operational Research and Marketing (1998), both from AUEB. He has participated in various research projects in the field of strategic management, innovation management, R&D assessment and policy (e.g., Ministry of Development, Emporiki Bank). He was an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Operational Research Society (HELORS), and Associate Editor of the "Operational Research, An International Journal" (2003-2005). He has published over 15 research papers in academic journals and scientific conferences (e.g., Journal of Knowledge Management, International Journal of Applied Systemic Studies, Academy of Management Annual Meeting, IEEE Society). His research interests revolve around strategic innovation management, learning and knowledge processes, team performance, group dynamics, and R&D evaluation. From 2006, Dr. Kostopoulos is a special research advisor of the European Commission (DG Enterprise and Industry) in the analysis and evaluation of the impact on innovation of publicly funded research programmes (FP 5 and FP6 projects).
