Academic Advisors

Academic Advisor 

For each student in the Department, an instructor from the department is appointed as the Academic Advisor from the beginning of their studies. The Academic Advisor advises the student on matters related to their studies.

The institution of the Academic Advisor aims to establish a framework for individual guidance and support for the students of the Department of Statistics, with the following objectives:

  1. The smooth academic and social integration of students into the university environment.
  2. The improvement of their academic performance and the reduction of study dropout rates.
  3. The strengthening of communication and cooperation between students and the teaching staff.
  4. The provision of guidance regarding career development, postgraduate studies, and research activities.

For each student, from the beginning of their studies, a faculty member of the Department (Professor or Associate/Assistant Professor) is appointed as an Academic Advisor. The appointment of Academic Advisors is made by the Department Assembly, following a recommendation from the Chair.

Each student can find out which Academic Advisor has been assigned to them using their student ID number, either through the e-Grammateia system or from the list below:
