AUEB Stats @ the 5th ISI Regional Statistics Conference 2026

AUEB-Stats recently participated at the 5th ISI Regional Statistics Conference 2026 in Valletta, Malta!

As part of the Conference, Professor Dimitris Karlis organized and participated in the invited Session "Statistics and Data Science in Sports", on behalf of the ISI Special Interest Group (SIG) on Sports Statistics and BDsports: Big Data Analytics in Sports (Università degli Studi di Brescia), representing AUEB-Stats.

The session brought together researchers from leading European Institutions to present recent advances in Sports Analytics, covering topics ranging from football score modelling and basketball player profiling to forecasting the FIFA World Cup 2026:
