New Name: M.Sc. in Statistical Data Science

A New Name. A Broader Vision. The Same Scientific Excellence.

We are excited to announce that our MSc in Statistics is evolving into the MSc in Statistical Data Science.

Why the change? Because statistics is not only about understanding data, it is about unlocking its potential.

In a world increasingly shaped by data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, statistics provides the scientific foundation that transforms information into knowledge, models into insights, and insights into better decisions.

Our new name reflects this broader perspective: a programme that brings together the depth and rigor of statistical thinking with the modern tools of data science, computational methods, and predictive analytics.

Statistics remains at our core. Data Science expands our horizons.

This is more than a change of name. It is a statement of our vision: to educate the next generation of professionals and researchers who can go beyond analysing what has happened, to understanding why, predicting what may happen next, and helping shape what comes after.

The future belongs to those who can turn data into knowledge. We are here to help them do it.
